Biographie
Svetlana Puzhko is a clinician-researcher from Russia, with an international experience of work in fundamental medical science. During recent years, she has switched from working in basic medical sciences back to the clinical research and public health. In 2015, Svetlana has obtained her MSc degree in Family Medicine Research at McGill University. Her MSc thesis were devoted to the health risks and improving access to health care for vulnerable populations. The results of her MSc work helped clarify the reasons for an increased risk of HCV infection in people who inject prescription opioids in order to design targeted HCV preventive strategies and personalized treatment programs. In 2015, Svetlana has started her PhD studies at the Family Medicine Department of McGill University. Her current areas of interest are access to medical help for vulnerable populations, personalized medicine, and pharmacoepidemioogy.
